A strong South Shore economy depends on collaboration. Businesses, tourism leaders, public agencies, elected officials, nonprofits, and community members each play an important role in shaping the future of our region. While perspectives may differ, our greatest progress happens when we work together toward a shared goal: a thriving South Shore where businesses can succeed, residents can prosper, and our community remains a place people want to live, work, invest, and visit.
That spirit of collaboration is at the heart of the Tahoe Chamber’s work.
For decades, the Chamber has served businesses on both the California and Nevada sides of the South Shore, with advocacy as one of our core responsibilities. We monitor legislation, public agendas, and issues affecting businesses; maintain relationships with local, regional, state, and federal decision makers; participate in public meetings and regional discussions; provide written and verbal public comment; and encourage our members to engage when decisions may impact our economy. Our advocacy extends well beyond what may be seen at a podium. It is ongoing work that requires the Chamber to stay informed, build relationships, bring business leaders together, and consistently represent the interests of the South Shore business community.
